	Brief History~ Notom ranch was originally settled in 1883 and was home to as many as twenty-tree pioneer families at one time. In 1919 George Durfey purchased the Notom Ranch and was able to harness the water of Pleasant Creek, as a result he created a profitable working ranch in the middle of the dry desert.
